Buddy-to-Buddy Program 
Buddy-to-Buddy is a peer-to-peer program that trains volunteer veterans to provide peer support and linkage to resources for Michigan service members and veterans. Volunteer veterans help veterans and service members address issues ranging from accessing financial, employment, legal, benefit, or educational resources to identifying mental health providers for emotional, substance abuse, or relationship concerns.

Give an Hour’s mission is to develop national networks of volunteer professionals capable of responding to both acute and chronic conditions that arise within our society. Since 2005, we have focused on providing free and confidential mental health care to those who serve, our veterans, and their families. We have since expanded our efforts to address the mental health needs of other populations. Through the generosity, compassion, and expertise of Give an Hour’s skilled volunteers, we are able to increase the likelihood that those in need receive the support and care they deserve.

Heroes With Hearing Loss Program         
Designed to supplement existing hearing loss solutions, the Hamilton CapTel phone is the most advanced captioned telephone available, making it possible for veterans that struggle with hearing loss, able to listen and read word-for-word captions of everything that is said on the phone.

McLaren Port Huron- Mental Health Services

They have a skilled team of behavioral health counselors, nursing and therapy staff offer a range of treatment therapy including inpatient mental health services for adults, partial hospitalization programs for adults and adolescents, as well as both individual and family counseling services. McLaren can help you make the most of life.  McLaren Port Huron provides a full spectrum of psychiatric services including Emergency, Inpatient, and Outpatient Counseling. Some of the conditions treated here include:  Depression Anxiety and panic disorders, Bipolar disorder, Psychosis Schizophrenia, Obsessive compulsive disorder, Post traumatic stress disorder, Eating disorders Suicidal or homicidal thoughts, and Dementia or Alzheimer's Disease.

Michigan Rehabilitation Services  (MRS) 
MRS provides specialized employment and education-related services and training to assist teens, adults and veterans with disabilities in becoming employed or retaining employment. In addition, MRS partners and collaborates with the State Department of Education, local school systems, Michigan Career and Technical Institute (MCTI), community colleges, four-year colleges, and universities to develop statewide school-to-work, postsecondary, and adult life programs to help students with disabilities succeed in secondary and postsecondary education and transition to employment.  They work in partnership with individuals with disabilities to achieve independence and prepare for and obtain competitive employment, including exploring the possibilities of self-employment or owning a small business.   And much more.

MVAA provides  a variety of benefits such as VSO service provision, the MVRSC Resource Center, and Michigan Veterans Trust Fund.

MSU Extension Michigan State University (MSU)
partners with Michigan Department of Human Services (MDHS) to provide Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed), a free nutrition education program to reduce hunger and food insecurity and promote healthy eating habits. MSU Extension SNAP-Ed nutrition instructors teach youth, teens, adults and seniors how to make health a priority through an instructional series. The goal of the SNAP-Ed program is to increase the likelihood that those eligible for SNAP benefits will establish healthy eating habits and increase their time spent involved in physical activity, while staying within their limited food budget.

Norton Photography   -  Providing Professional Headshots
Norton Photography will be available on-site to take your headshot for LinkedIn or other social media profiles at no charge for veterans, spouses, active military members, guard and reserve members, and dependents of all ages. Headshots taken will be mailed.  Mailing will include a 4 x6 picture and a CD. 

St. Clair County Community Mental Health           
Assist veterans obtain mental health services within CMH. Assist veterans with educational, employment and housing concerns. Coordinate with SCCVA for possible benefits the veteran may be eligible.

St. Clair County Department of Veterans Affairs               
A trusted and accredited resource for finding, applying for, receiving and maintaining veterans' benefits. Our accredited counselors and professional staff eliminate or reduce the frustration and confusion of navigating the VA process. They are proud to be serving veterans and their families.

St. Clair County Health Department        
Representing the SCC Rx Drug Abuse Workgroup and the SCC Smoke Free Community Team with the goals: Identify, treat, and reduce prescription drug misuse through community awareness and prevention; and protecting public and environmental health by working to eliminate smoking-related hazards through prevention, education, and advocacy.

Accelerated Veterans' Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program, designed for Veterans with medical training during their military service (Combat Medics, Combat Lifesaver Certified, etc.).

United States of American Vietnam War Commemoration
The St. Clair County Department of Veterans Affairs (SCCVA) is now an official registered Commemorative Partner of the Vietnam War 50th Anniversary Commemoration.  The Vietnam 50th Anniversary program will be organized locally to thank and honor veterans of the Vietnam War living in St. Clair County.  We are reaching out to each and every Vietnam veterans in St. Clair County to ensure they receive long lasting mementoes of the nation's thanks.   We will provide lapel pins at this event.

The Department of Defense recently approved expanding military exchange online shopping privileges to all honorably discharged Veterans beginning Veterans Day 2017.  The sooner you verify your eligibility, the better chance to shop the military exchanges online!

Vietnam Veterans of America - Bluewater Chapter 284
VVA’s mission is to promote and support the full range of issues important to all veterans, to create a new identity for this generation of veterans, and to change public perception of Vietnam Veterans.

Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E)

If you have a service connected disability, you may receive Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) services to help with job training, employment accommodations, resume development, and job seeking skills coaching. Other services may be provided to assist Veterans in starting their own businesses or independent living services for those who are severely disabled and unable to work in traditional employment.

Volunteers of America  (Only from 2-5:30pm)
Employment services for Veterans who are homeless or at-risk of homelesness veterans.  They provide resume building, interview preparation, job leads.  and transportation assistance. Our goal is to reduce veteran's barriers to employment. They can supply interview clothes or work attire. Every veteran's case is specific to his/her needs.  

Wreaths Across America - St. Clair County

Wives of Warriors           
A support group for wives of Warriors that have PTSD.  This group also provides information on resources available to find healing and hope.

Primary Care Healthcare for Veterans located in Yale, Michigan. 

YMCA Blue Water Area

Military Family Memberships - The YMCA of the Blue Water Area, along with YMCAs throughout the country, offers free memberships to the families of military personnel who have been called to active duty. The free military family memberships will be effective from time of deployment through the duration of active duty. The commitment and sacrifice you make for our country is why we are proud to serve you!

  • Each vendor will be provided with a 6-foot table and 2-chairs.  You may bring a cloth to overlay on the table or a display to be placed behind your table.
